Impact Recruitment are working with a well-established engineering business based in Daventry, who are now looking to appoint an experienced Warehouse Operative to join their busy team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and growing business where you will be responsible for a mix of warehouse duties, forklift operation, and occasional company van driving. The role involves managing goods in/out, maintaining accurate stock records, and ensuring the smooth running of warehouse operations.
Location: Daventry | On-site
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
Pay: £13.33 an hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Counterbalance and Reach truck for loading/unloading vehicles and storing goods
- Receive and book in deliveries using the company's computer system
- Pick items from stock according to kitting lists
- Carry out stock checks and investigate discrepancies.
- Drive the company van when required (clean UK driving licence essential).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised warehouse environment.
- Support colleagues and provide cover for holidays or absences.
- Comply with all Health & Safety and environmental requirements.
Requirements:
- Valid Counterbalance and Reach Truck licences.
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Previous warehouse experience in a similar role
- Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team with excellent communication skills
- Flexible, proactive, and adaptable to changing workloads
