Frequently Asked Questions

Here is a selection of questions we are frequently asked by employers.

client recruitment

Using a recruitment agency will have several benefits, starting with us having a greater knowledge of hiring. We have a very wide network and reach therefore we will be able to find the best person possible for you, which may be harder if you are just recruiting in-house.

Recruiting internally can be time-consuming, and so going through us will allow you to spend minimal on the recruitment process. Advertising for a job can be expensive and we can take those extra costs off your hands by advertising on our sites and across social media.

Finally, you want to avoid the costly mistake of recruiting the wrong candidate. Our extensive checks will help ensure you have the best possible chance of securing the right candidate.

We use a number of different methods to help us find a potential candidate including;

  • our own database and networks
  • LinkedIn
  • a variety of job boards
  • our own website

We take a number of steps as part of our pre-screening process including;

  • proof of ID and right to work
  • criminal record check (if they have one)
  • previous work references
  • proof of academic qualifications.

There are further steps we will take if it is required for the job role. For example; if you need a car and driving licence for the job this is something we can check. If there are specific professional qualifications required for the job we will also check for proof of these.

As the employer, you will have to be involved in some areas of the recruitment process including;

  • clarifying and writing the job specification.
  • choosing candidates suitable for interview after viewing their CV.
  • interviewing the chosen candidates.
  • deciding on which candidate you wish to accept and the administration around recruiting.

Firstly, we identify candidates that are looking for a job like the one you’re advertising and select them. We will then shortlist the individuals that are most suitable for your job role and arrange an interview with them to discuss the role and see if they are interested and if they seem like a good fit for your company.

Once the most suitable candidates have been selected, we will pass over their CVs and required information to you (the employer) and you will then begin to shortlist them and choose a few that you think will be a good fit for the job. Once you have a conversation with us about your favourite candidates, we then begin the interviewing process.

The candidate’s references will be checked along with a background check and then the most suitable candidate(s) will be informed they have got the job and will be put in touch with you to discuss arrangements like when they will start the job.
