Onsite Recruitment
Your workforce, managed from within.
When the scale and complexity of your workforce demands more than a standard agency relationship, we embed a dedicated recruitment team directly into your operation: managing sourcing, staffing levels, attendance, and workforce performance on your behalf.
A dedicated recruitment function operating inside your business
Onsite recruitment (sometimes called a managed workforce solution or embedded staffing model) is an arrangement where a recruitment partner places a dedicated recruiter or team directly within your operation. Rather than managing your workforce remotely from an agency office, we work alongside your operational and HR teams every day, taking full ownership of your staffing levels, worker performance, and recruitment pipeline.
It is not the same as using a temporary staffing agency at volume.
A standard agency fills roles when called upon; nobody outside your building knows a peak is coming, or that three people are due to leave on the same rota, or that Tuesday nights have quietly become your worst attrition point. An agency working from a call centre three towns away can’t see any of that.
They only find out when you tell them.
An onsite solution manages your entire contingent workforce proactively, continuously, and with a deep understanding of how your operation runs.
For businesses with high-volume, multi-shift, or fast-changing workforce demands, the difference between the two approaches is felt and valued.
The situations where an onsite recruitment solution makes sense
An onsite solution is not right for every business and we will tell you honestly if a different approach would serve you better. But for operations with the following characteristics, it is consistently the most effective model available.
High-volume temporary workforce
If your operation routinely relies on a significant number of temporary workers, particularly across multiple shifts, the administrative and management overhead of running that through a standard agency relationship becomes unworkable. An onsite solution removes that overhead entirely.
Rapidly growing headcount demand
New contracts, business growth, or significant volume increases require a recruitment function that can scale with you quickly. An embedded team can respond to demand changes in real time.
Multi-shift and round-the-clock operations
When your operation runs across days, evenings, nights, and weekends, staffing needs do not respect office hours. An onsite presence that understands your shift patterns and can respond accordingly is a necessity.
Complex or fluctuating workforce requirements
Seasonal peaks, varying contract demands, or workload unpredictability require a workforce management approach that plans ahead, rather than reacts. We build staffing pipelines and recruitment plans around your operational calendar.
High attrition and ongoing replacement pressure
Some operations experience significant worker turnover as a structural reality. An onsite model manages this proactively: maintaining a consistent talent pipeline, reducing the gaps between leavers and replacements, and addressing the causes of attrition over time.
Industrial, logistics, and supply chain environments
Operations in warehousing, manufacturing, production, and distribution tend to have the most complex and time-sensitive staffing needs. These are the environments our onsite model is designed around and where it has the most direct operational impact.
Our Approach
How our onsite recruitment model works in practice
We design every onsite solution around the specific needs of the client operation. There is no standard package, but the approach follows a consistent set of principles that have produced consistent results.
Before we propose a solution, we spend time understanding your operation in depth: shift patterns, headcount requirements, seasonal fluctuations, current pain points, and the workforce metrics that matter most to you. The solution we design is built around what we find, not a template we bring with us.
We place a dedicated consultant or team within your operation, working alongside your managers and HR function day to day. They know your operation, your standards, and your people.
Our onsite team works ahead of demand, building candidate pipelines, planning for seasonal peaks, managing planned absences, and maintaining a ready pool of workers so that gaps are filled before they affect your operation.
No-shows, lateness, and performance issues are handled directly by our onsite team. We take ownership of the worker relationship from induction through to ongoing engagement, because a well-managed worker performs better and stays longer.
We provide regular, clear reporting on the metrics that matter – fulfilment rates, attendance, attrition, headcount versus requirement, and cost per head. That information allows your business to make workforce decisions based on data rather than instinct and holds us accountable for the results we deliver.
An onsite solution should get better over time as our team learns your business and the local talent market. We hold regular review meetings with your operational and HR teams to assess performance, address challenges, and adapt the approach where needed.
What You Can Expect
The benefits of a well-run onsite recruitment model
Reduced attrition
Proactive worker engagement, better matching at the point of hire, and an onsite team that spots problems early mean workers stay longer and replacement costs reduce over time.
Improved workforce stability
Consistent staffing levels, better-briefed workers, and proactive planning means fewer disruptions to production, output, and service delivery.
Management time back
When workforce coordination is handled by a dedicated onsite team, your managers focus on running the operation, not chasing the agency, managing no-shows, or filling gaps themselves.
Workforce that scales with demand
Planned peaks and unexpected surges are managed proactively with a pipeline already in place rather than a scramble to find workers at short notice.
Visibility and accountability
Clear, regular reporting gives your leadership team the data to make informed decisions about the workforce and holds us accountable for the performance we promise.
Lower total workforce cost
Reduced attrition, lower overtime, fewer agency management hours, and better fulfilment rates combine to reduce the true cost of your contingent workforce.

Onsite FAQs
There is no single headcount threshold, but onsite recruitment typically becomes the most effective model when a business is regularly relying on 30 or more temporary workers, operating across multiple shifts, or experiencing consistent management pressure from workforce coordination. If you are unsure whether your operation warrants it, tell us about your current situation and we will give you an honest answer, including if we think a standard model would serve you better.
A high-volume temp agency responds to requests – you call when you have a gap, they fill it. An onsite solution manages your workforce continuously. Our team is inside your operation, aware of upcoming demand, planning ahead, managing attendance, and taking responsibility for the performance of the workforce.
Implementation timelines vary depending on the complexity of the operation and the size of the workforce. For most businesses, a mobilisation period of two to four weeks allows us to complete the operational review, agree the service model, establish reporting frameworks, and have a dedicated presence in place. We will give you a specific timeline once we understand your requirements and we will not rush the set-up at the expense of getting it right.
Day-to-day operational direction (what work to do, how to do it, and where to be) sits with your management team, as it would with any worker on your site. Our onsite team manages the recruitment and workforce relationship: sourcing, onboarding, attendance, engagement, and performance concerns. The two functions work together – our job is to make sure your managers spend their time running the operation, not managing the agency.
We provide agreed regular reporting on the metrics that matter to your business: fulfilment rate, headcount versus requirement, attendance and absence trends, worker tenure, attrition rates, and cost per head. Reporting frequency and format are agreed at the outset and reviewed regularly. The goal is to give your leadership and HR teams the visibility they need to make confident workforce decisions.
